How did it start with sponsors and shit?how old were you?
Mason: Avevo 15 anni quando vinsi un grand evento che mi permise di essere sponsorizzato Manta...allora ero giavane e stupido...non mi sono trovato benissimo con quelle tavole, ma ho imparato la lezione.
15 years old I won a Big event and got sponsored by Manta; I was young and stupid back then! I'll never ride shit boards again! I learned the hard way!

BBB: Parlaci allora della tua tavola Unknown? perchè i ragazzini dovrebbero comprarla?
How's your unknown board?why the groms should buy that one?
Mason: Fai quel che vuoi la scelta stà a te! Tutti potrebbero comprare tavole schifose per poco oppure potrebbero comprare un Mason Rose Limited Edition Model: ne sono stati fatti soltanto 50 modelli, periodicamente ne realizzo altri in nuovi colori e stile ma non provate a copiare la mia idea! ;)
Do what you want it's your choice! You could buy cheap ass boards or you can buy a MAson Rose Limited Edition Mod. There're only 50 ever made, every few months I come up with a new colour way and style, but don't go biting my idea now....this is real shit,anyone copying me is a biter!!

BBB: Che cosa ti ha fatto cominciare con il dropknee?
What made you get into dropknee?
Mason: Andavo in prone prima di spingere il dropknee cosi lontano come volevo...il dropknee ti da delle sensazioni meravigliose; mi piace la competizione e lo stile che ne esce fuori, se non mi fossi dedicato al DK avrei provato uno stile come Chris Won Taloa o Cavin Yep, mantenendo alto il livello di abilità, rendendolo sempre più stiloso!
I was done with prone after taking as far as i wanted to take it…dropknee is a great feeling, i like the challenge and the style the comes from it, if i didn’t dropknee i’d try a style like Chris Won or Cavin Yap, keep it skilled and make it look good!

BBB: Hai ancora influenze nel tuo stile come quando ero piu giovane? da chi in particolare?
You still got some influences like when you were younger?who are them?
Mason: Principalmente Aka Lyman and Chris Won ed anche Hauoli Reeves, questi ragazzi erano i re della mia passione!

BBB: Cosa ne pensi delle nuove generazioni?
What you think about the new generations?
Mason: Le nuove generazioni sono buone ed alcune anche no!!! Lo stile è tutto!! Alcuni provano a spaccare dimenticando lo stile e il feeling con l'onda: forzare manovre è la maniera sbagliata!!! prima è necessario definire il proprio stile e solo dopo è possibile trasformarlo in realtà creando i propri trick. Tutto questo vale ovviamente anche per il prone.
The new generation are great and also come bad!!! Style is everything!!! Peeps try too hard and forget about style abd feeling the wave, they get all forceful and thats the wrong way!!! First get your style then get your tricks but foundation is the key to open doors for sure!!! That goes for prone guys too!

BBB: Che musica ti carica prima di andare in mare?
What music gets you amped for a session?
Mason: Tribe Called Quest, Funk, Jazz, Real HipHop a non quello schifo commerciale, musica soul ecc ecc...

Mason: Ho sentito che sta crescendo e che il talento si sta rafforzando..cavolo si...qualcuno laggiu dovrebbe farmi venire come giudice speciale o per incontri e fare freestyle sessions...voglio venire in Italia!!! Vi prego fatemi volare laggiu!!!
I heard its gettino bigger, i heard the tallent is gaining strenth…fuck yeah…some one over there should fly me out as a guest judge and do work shops and give talks and freestyle sessions….im down for Italy!!!fly me there!
